I was truly saddened to hear recently of your father’s death. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

Dr Gray was a great supporter of St Nicholas Church over many years and his passing will be a loss to us all.

As a relative newcomer to Alcester I recall quite vividly a conversation I had with him over coffee in Church House almost 5 years ago in which he told me about his life working in Brussels for the European Commission. He followed this up by giving me a tour of his house and particularly his study. The detail in his mind was awe-inspiring. It is a great sadness to me personally to know that these conversations will be no more.
